WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A TOONITY.COM MODERATOR?
A toonity.com moderator should...
• ...have an interest in comics and manga
• ...like toonity.com and already have a good knowledge of the community
• ...nicht mehr an toonity.com Wettbewerben teilnehmen. (Dafür bieten wir ihm andere Vergünstigungen)
• ...enjoy meeting people
• ...ideally have already been a moderator or still be a moderator
• ...enjoy regularly being online at toonity.com
• ...view it as important that users are satisfied and happy and can have fun together at toonity.com
WHAT DOES A TOONITY.COM MODERATOR DO?
| • | Support other users (N.B. Using a contact button, users can write directly to the moderator and ask questions when the moderator is online. If the moderator is offline, the messages will arrive later or be sent via email) |
| • | Have a friendly, patient, impartial demeanour, i.e. every user is treated the same, regardless of whether they are known to or disliked by the moderator |
| • | Explain the procedure and rules for current competitions, the toonity.com evaluation system, general functions, menu items etc. |
| • | Read forum posts and warn other users in case of misuse, or in case of non-compliance, delete invalid posts (N.B. A moderator is only assigned a limited forum area to monitor, e.g. 1-2 forum topics!) |
| • | Check that forum posts have been entered under the correct subject category, spelling and structure is good, content is correct and appropriate etc. |
| • | Monitor the photos uploaded to profiles, forums and competitions, e.g. are there any licensing/ legal infringements, i.e. have the uploaded pictures potentially been "stolen" from a professional artist or other person, are there pornographic pictures or pictures that promote violence etc. |
| • | In case of “emergency”, immediately notify the toonity.com team at STABILO |
| • | Moderate chats (information on toonity.com about what to do if users are unfriendly, discuss subjects that are disallowed, use vulgar language etc.) |
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF BEING A TOONITY.COM MODERATOR?
| • | With moderator status, a toonity.com member is seen as a "super user" and their profile is visually highlighted as such for all other users. |
| • | Messages to the toonity.com team from moderators are given top priority! |
| • | Other users will look up to moderators and often contact them |
| • | We occasionally send moderators the latest STABILO products free of charge |
| • | In the future, moderators will also be able to participate in surveys on toonity.com and STABILO products (design etc.) |
| • | A moderator’s profile is marked as moderator profile |
| • | Moderators may change and if necessary delete other user posts (or retrieve them) - but only if there is a legitimate reason for doing so |
